Graham McLaughlin is the Managing Director of Corporate Responsibility at The Advisory Board Company, a global technology, research, and consulting firm partnering with 125,000 leaders at over 4,000 organizations across health care and higher education. Prior to leading the organization’s corporate social responsibility efforts, Graham served across multiple areas of the business, including General Manager of the firm’s international performance technologies group. Previous to the Advisory Board, Graham was a management consultant for Fortune 500 technology firms and a wilderness therapy instructor.
Graham is also co-founder of Clean Decisions, a for-profit social enterprise owned and solely operated by returning citizens (ex-offenders) specializing in commercial kitchen cleaning and event staffing/clean-up, with the goal of providing staff members employment, training, and a family-like atmosphere focused on helping each team member work toward living a moral, middle class lifestyle. As part of this work he also co-founded Changing Perceptions, a non-profit incubating returning citizen entrepreneurship with the goal of helping individuals reach their full potential professionally and personally.
Graham has been published or profiled in Guardian Sustainable Business, Forbes, National Journal, Washington Business Journal, and in a number of national and regional blogs on corporate social responsibility. He has spoken at national conferences, Capitol Hill, and the White House on corporate responsibility and returning citizen issues, and locally he has been a “Harris’ Hero” and has received community awards from the Washington Wizards, Points of Light Corporate Volunteer Council, and Washington Mystics for his service efforts.
Graham graduated Summa Cum Laude from UNC-Chapel Hill with a dual degree in Psychology and Management.
