Thomas J. Raffa is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Raffa, P.C. and their affiliates, Raffa Financial Services, Inc. and Raffa Wealth Management. Tom is a pioneer in social enterprise. For his dedication to the community, he has received numerous awards including, Georgetown Alumni Entrepreneur of the Year, Business CEO of the Year for Social Value Leadership, Italian Man of the Year but the Italian American Association (Lido Civic Club), Individual Making a Difference Award from The Nonprofit Village, Innovation in Philanthropy for his commitment to improving education outcomes for students and Volunteer Achievement Award from the Accountants for the Public Interest. For volunteer hours and philanthropic giving, Raffa has been recognized by Washington Business Journal’s Corporate Philanthropy Awards.
Tom serves on the board of directors of several major nonprofits including, the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra and the United Way of the National Capital Area. He shares his expertise through articles in national publications such as, The Chronicle of Philanthropy and The Nonprofit Quarterly. Tom also is an instructor and speaker for many training programs and conferences.
He is a graduate of Georgetown University, a member of the Georgetown University Alumni Admissions Program, a mentor at the McDonough School of Business and is involved with the Entrepreneurship Fellowship.
