Meet Our Speaker - Monica Bautista
Monica Bautista, USAID, Advisor, Global Health - Ebola Team
As an Advisor on the Global Health Ebola Team at USAID, Monica co-manages 10 health projects, totaling $65M. She focuses on mitigating the impacts of the Ebola outbreak in Liberia, and advices on gender issues related to Ebola. She has also worked to promote the Hispanic community by serving on the Executive Board of USAID’s Hispanic Employee Council and through her Public Policy Fellowship at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute. Previously, Monica worked on family planning and reproductive health policy in Francophone West Africa.
Monica has her MBA from the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business and B.S. in Public Health from Portland State University. In her free time, Monica volunteers with a local non-profit as a health outreach volunteer.
