ONE SUMMIT.

TWO AWESOME DAYS.

Shift Series brings together 200+ students and alumni from leading national universities, social and tech entrepreneurs, thought leaders, and corporate executives for a multi-disciplinary discussion around how we can prepare the next generation of socially conscious leaders. This year we have over 30 inspiring local, national, and international leaders present to offer their wisdom and advice in primarily small group sessions.

All Compass fellows will have the opportunity to be part of a pitch contest and receive feedback on their ventures from their peers as well as industry leaders serving as judges.  All Shift Series participants will receive a free resource guide from Dorie Clark, and winners of the pitch competition will receive advance copies of her upcoming book Stand Out.  We will have special programming targeted towards obtaining venture funding, intrapreneurship, women and minorities in leadership, and social impact.  Additionally, the conference will be infused with social activities where you can get to know other student and alumni leaders from around the country.

For additional conference information, including speaker bios and session locations, please download the free app EventJoy and search for Shift Series.

Inspiring leaders

Which of our speakers was a Peace Corps volunteer in Mozambique?  Who sang back up for Aretha Franklin?  Which global leader worked as a newspaper delivery boy, dishwasher, and maintenance assistant scraping paint off wooden bleachers during college?

Take a look at our speaker bios on EventJoy to learn more about these incredible individuals who look forward to getting to know YOU at Shift Series!

Kenneth Cole Grants

We are thrilled to announce four $2,500 grants for Compass community members, provided through the generous support of Kenneth Cole Productions!

Kenneth Cole grants will be awarded to Compass ventures that highlight the power of conscious consumption.  Kenneth Cole is living proof that buying shoes and clothing can mean more than equipping oneself with the latest fashion trends. What you stand in says a lot about what you stand for. With the advent of companies like Warby Parker, TOMS Shoes, LSTN, and beyond, engaging consumers to make a positive social impact is becoming an increasingly important pillar of social innovation. Ventures embracing this idea are eligible for this grant.

Grant applications are due by 11:59 pm on Monday, March 30th to Cindy Gao.  Compass fellows and alumni must attend Shift Series to apply for these grants.  There will also be a special gathering with Amanda Cole of Kenneth Cole Productions at Shift Series for all grant applicants.
